Two men are dead after a shootout at a New Mexico gas station and police say biker gangs are behind it.

VALENCIA COUNTY, N.M. —Two men are dead after a shootout in Valencia County. Sources told Action 7 News a turf war between two rival gangs sparked the shooting.

Authorities have confirmed the Bandidos motorcycle club was involved, as well as members of the Poor Boys motorcycle club.

The incident occurred just after midnight Sunday at a gas station along Route 314 in Los Chavez.

Sean Duffey, 38, of Albuquerque died in the parking lot confrontation. He was a Bandidos member. Danny Macias, 40, of Belen, also died. He was a Poor Boys member.

Duffey and Macias were killed by bullets, an autopsy confirmed.

Three others were injured in the confrontation. They were treated at an area hospital for gunshot wounds.
