Gang arrests over stabbing in Mudgee

Police have arrested and charged six members of the Comanchero Outlaw Motorcycle Gang (OMCG) following investigations into an assault and stabbing incident last month. At about 9.50pm on March 24, 2017, Mudgee police responded to reports of a brawl in the front yard of a White Circle, Mudgee, address. There they located a 21-year-old Mudgee man who had sustained two significant stab wounds to his chest.

He was conveyed to Mudgee hospital and later transferred to Dubbo base hospital for treatment before being released. An investigation was commenced by Mudgee Detectives and to date six members of the Comanchero OMCG have been arrested and charged with offences relating to the incident.

On April 24, Mudgee Detectives traveled to Muswellbrook where they arrested and charged a 35-year-old Muswellbrook man. During the course of the investigation a number of exhibits where identified have been forensically examined.

All those arrested are members of the Comanchero OMCG and have been charged with; Affray, Assault, Intimidation and Violent Disorder Offences. The investigation is continuing and further arrests are expected, local police continue to work with the State Crime Command – Strike Force Raptor - in relation to this investigation and OMCG related matters in the area.
