Revealed: The last movements of a bikie boss executed in his BMW

Police have released the last-known moments of senior bikie Ricky Ciano's movements, some five months after his dead body was discovered in the back seat of a car in NSW. The body of 35-year-old Ciano was found in the back seat of a BMW (link is external) on the side of a road on Valentines Day this year, near Oberon in the Central Tablelands, a day after he was reported missing by family.

On Thursday police said they had traced Mr Ciano's movements on the weekend before his death, and believe his car was parked from Sunday afternoon before the discovery of his body on the back seat the following Tuesday night. Mr Ciano had been stopped on the Saturday for a traffic matter, and his BMW had been driven by him and others around Oberon prior to his death.

Homicide Squad Commander, Detective Acting Superintendent Jason Dickinson, said they'd tracked his $130,000 BMW from the vehicle stop through the Blue Mountains and into the Oberon area.
"We believe Mr Ciano may have stayed in the Oberon area and someone else drove his car on the other trips, so we obviously want to speak with those people," he said.
"There is also a white Toyota Hiace van seen travelling to the same rural area outside of Oberon on the Saturday, which we are also working to identify."

Senior Rebels member Abuzar Sultani, who was arrested last year over the execution of Sydney underworld figure Pasquale Barbaro, is accused of plotting to kill Mr Ciano at Wamberal on the NSW Central Coast in August 2015. Police sources allege a hitman pretending to deliver a pizza knocked on Mr Ciano's door but he wouldn't open it.

Mr Ciano was acquitted in 2013 of wounding Amer Tashman with intent to cause grievous bodily harm at Bada Bing nightclub in Kings Cross in April 2012.

It is understood Mr Ciano left the bikie fraternity in 2015 and moved to the Gold Coast for a lifestyle change.
