About 500 people, including between 300 and 325 members of the Hells Angels, were observed or asked for identification, the SQ said. One man, a 52-year-old biker from Ontario, was arrested for threatening a police officer during a routine road check.

The tickets handed out were for minor infractions, such as driving on the shoulder of the road, non-conforming motorcycle equipment or not wearing a helmet.

SQ spokesman Guy Lapointe told the Canadian Press that the weekend went well. “The objective was to make sure that everything unfolded in an orderly way, that the law was respected — the Criminal Code as well as the Highway Safety Act — and that there be as little inconvenience as possible for the residents.”
“The great majority of individuals who participated in the event cooperated,” he said.
