NEW: Florida motorcycle gang members rounded up in federal meth bust

Members of the Pagans Motorcycle Club were among 16 people — most from Volusia and Flagler counties including Daytona Beach and Palm Coast — charged with conspiring to distribute methamphetamine (link is external), according to an indictment unsealed and announced on Thursday by the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Orlando.

The defendants are accused of conspiring to distribute “large quantities” of methamphetamine to individuals and groups in Central Florida. Those arrested include to members of the Pagan’s Motorcycle Club, an outlaw motorcycle gang, according to to the press release from the office of Maria Chapa Lopez, the U.S. Attorney for the Middle District of Florida.

The release listed the names and cities of people indicted but did not say which of them are affiliated with the biker gang.

Those indicted on a charge of conspiracy to distribute 50 grams or more of methamphetamine are:
Barbara “Barb” or “Barbie” Caylor-Hernandez, 47, of Ormond Beach; Michael Babin, 47, Melanie Kerr, 28, and Daniel Barbarino, 54, all of Daytona Beach; Keith Simmons, 41, and Carla Ray, 51, both of Oak Hill; Spencer Burkard, 49, of New Smyrna Beach; Brian “Sledge” Burt, 47, of Port Orange; Lawrence Sann, 55, of Bunnell; and Andrew “Yeti” Shettler, 33, and Michael “Clutch” Andrews, 33, both of Palm Coast. Ramiro Fraire-Chavarria, 44, of Daltona, Ga., and Robert Foster, 37, of St. Augustine, were also indicted on the same charge.

Carly Bledsoe, 30, of Daytona Beach, was indicted on a charge of conspiracy to distribute 50 grams or more of methamphetamine, and distribution of more than 5 grams of methamphetamine.Jason Stringer, 38, of Daytona Beach, was indicted on a charge of conspiracy to distribute five grams or more of methamphetamine; and distribution of more than 5 grams of methamphetamine.

Keith Kirchoff, 40, of Key West, was indicted on a charge of conspiracy to distribute 50 grams or more of methamphetamine; use and carry of a firearm in relation to, and possession of a firearm in furtherance of, a drug trafficking crime.

If convicted on all counts, Kirchoff, Andrews, Shettler, Bledsoe, Caylor-Hernandez, Fraire-Chavarria, Babin, Kerr, Simmons, Ray, Burkard, Foster, Barbarino, and Burt each face a maximum penalty of life in federal prison. Sann and Stringer each face a maximum penalty of life in federal prison. Sann and Stringer each face a maximum penalty of 40 years’ imprisonment.

This case was investigated by the FBI, the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Volusia Bureau of Investigation, the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office, and the Daytona Beach Police Department. It will be prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Sean P. Shecter, the release said.
