Police say widow of slain Rebels bikie boss Nick Martin robbed of $20,000 while she attended funeral

WA police say the widow of slain Rebels bikie Nick Martin was robbed while her crime boss husband was being laid to rest.

Police sources say tens of thousands of dollars were brazenly stolen during the funeral – a crime that would likely have been unthinkable before Martin’s execution.

As Rebels ies began their ride to his funeral, a man allegedly jumped the fence of a home belonging to relatives of the bikie boss.

Police say a safe full of money was stolen from the property on Wednesday.

7NEWS understands the $20,000 stolen belonged to Nick Martin’s widow Amanda.

Relatives still dressed for the funeral returned home on Wednesday to learn they had been targeted.

Police arrived shortly after.

While not ruling it out, police don’t think the burglary is directly connected to Nick Martin’s gunning down at the Kwinana Motorplex on December 12.

They do, however, believe there could now be a battle for leadership in the Rebels camp.

WA Police Commissioner Chris Dawson said there was “fracturing” and “dissent” within and between Perth’s different bikie gangs.

“We will deal with anyone, and I don’t really care about status or standing in clubs,” Dawson said.

While police tell a different story, the Martin family has denied there was any robbery.
