Police are saying little about the assault that led to charges
Three full-patch members of the Hells Angels have been charged with assault causing bodily harm and break and enter after an incident in Langley last month.
The charges were sworn against White Rock chapter vice-president Derek Nishi, White Rock member Antonio Scorda and Vancouver chapter member Daniel MacIvor on May 10 and they made their first court appearance in Surrey last week.
They are due back in court on June 18.
A Langley RCMP media officer, Cpl. Holly Largy, confirmed that local officers were sent to an incident in Willoughby just after 2 p.m. on May 1.
“We responded to a complaint of a serious assault taking place. An investigation was conducted and there were grounds to arrest and charge three individuals,” Marks said.
“For the safety of the victim and the family, I am not going to release more information than that.”
Scorda, 44, has an earlier conviction for assault in Langley dating back to 2013. He was sentenced to a year’s probation.
The other two men have no previous criminal history in B.C., according to the online court database.
The Hells Angels have 10 chapters in B.C. Both the Vancouver and White Rock chapters are among the oldest, having opened in 1983.
